Premier: vocabulario avanzado del show de Netflix tú, temporada 4

“It's been a while since we last saw you.”  Oh, venga, solo estamos bromeando. Claro que sabemos que lees el blog de Promova regularmente para expandir tu vocabulario. El “You” que hemos mencionado en la primera oración es un huevo de pascua al inquietante, pero intrigante programa de Netflix “You”, cuya temporada 4 se estrenó el 9 de febrero de 2023.

Muchos fans de la serie se morían por saber qué había sido de Joe Goldberg después de matar a tanta gente en un suburbio de San Francisco, quemar su casa con su mujer Love dentro, imitar su propia muerte, dejar a su hijo para empezar de cero y seguir a su nueva obsesión: Marianne. Aunque el final de la serie nos dejó colgados y esperando que el protagonista apareciera en París, los creadores de la cuarta temporada de “You” cambiaron sus planes. Como descubrimos en el tráiler de la temporada 4 de “You”, en lugar de París, Joe se trasladó a Londres, donde cambió su nombre por el de Jonatan Moore y se convirtió en profesor universitario. 

No sólo la temporada 4 de “You” se hizo más interesante gracias a este giro argumental, sino que también la serie resultó ser más beneficiosa desde el punto de vista lingüístico. La compañía de jóvenes en la que se metió Joe procede del dinero y forma parte de la élite de la sociedad británica. Por lo tanto, el idioma que utilizan es bastante fascinante y más avanzado desde el punto de vista del estudiante de inglés. Por eso no podíamos dejar pasar la oportunidad de enseñarte algunas palabras y frases más complejas de la cuarta temporada de la serie de Netflix “You”. Como siempre, haremos todo lo posible por no estropear nada vital, pero no podemos prometerlo. Así que, ¡lee este artículo antes de ver “You” temporada 4 bajo tu propia responsabilidad!

¿Por qué Promova recomienda “You” temporada 4 para aprendices de inglés?

Ser un aprendiz avanzado de inglés significa que has dominado la gramática, escucha, habla, lectura y habilidades de escritura y has trabajado en una buena cantidad de vocabulario para alcanzar uno de los niveles de competencia más altos. Por lo general, en términos de pronunciación, los aprendices de inglés se dividen principalmente en dos partes: aquellos que eligen el americano y aquellos que se adhieren al acento británico. Sin embargo, esto puede ser una mala broma porque tu oído dejará de reconocer sonidos de diferentes acentos. “You”, temporada 4, permite a los aprendices de inglés avanzados entrenar sus oídos para entender ambos acentos y cambiar entre ellos.
