As the next step in the partnership between Promova and undisputed heavyweight world champion Oleksandr Usyk, the project extends Promova for Good – a charitable initiative that helps remove language barriers for people who need it most – to athletes around the world.

Kyiv, June 25, 2026 — Promova, a language learning platform with 25 million users worldwide, and the Usyk Foundation announce a joint program that will give 1,000 athletes free Premium access to Promova.

Half of the chosen athletes will be from the boxing community, with the other half coming from any other discipline – athletes from anywhere in the world can apply. Recipients will get full access to Promova's self-learning tools for one year – real-life vocabulary, AI-powered speaking and pronunciation practice, and many other features that help users actually start speaking any of the 13 languages offered in the app. The goal is straightforward: to remove language barriers for athletes who compete, train, or travel internationally.

The partnership builds on Promova's ongoing collaboration with undisputed heavyweight world champion Oleksandr Usyk, who joined the company as Chief Discipline Officer in January 2026 and has since been the ambassador of the "Say It Anyway" campaign, encouraging learners to speak before they feel ready.

The Usyk Foundation, which has long supported youth sport development and humanitarian programs, brings an existing infrastructure and community of athletes to the partnership. Together, the two organizations will identify and support athletes who benefit most from eliminating a language barrier in their lives.

"It is hard to overestimate the power and impact mastering a foreign language can bring to people's lives," says Andrew Skrypnyk, CEO and founder of Promova. "Promova for Good has been running since 2023, helping people who need it most – displaced people or those who come from underprivileged communities. Extending this program to the global athletic community is a natural next step for Promova for Good and a logical development of our ongoing partnership with Oleksandr Usyk. We believe it can have a meaningful impact for the 1,000 athletes selected."

"Language should not be the reason someone stays quiet and holds back from opportunities to grow and shine on the international stage. I believe in practicing before perfection – say it anyway, even before you feel ready, because that is the first step to mastery. And then it gets easier," said Oleksandr Usyk, undisputed heavyweight champion and Promova's Chief Discipline Officer. "I'm glad to be able to give athletes worldwide the chance to learn."

How athletes can apply

To be considered for one of the 1,000 spots, athletes must:

  • Be an active amateur or professional athlete in any sport or discipline
  • Submit a brief application describing the language they plan to learn and how it can help their sports career.

Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis. Promova and the Usyk Foundation representatives will contact selected athletes directly. There is no restriction by sport, nationality, or competitive level – the program is open to anyone for whom language learning creates a meaningful difference. The applications must be submitted before August 30, 2026. Detailed participation rules are available here.
