I think that students learn better when they are comfortable and relaxed. I can draw upon twenty years of teaching experience to create a teaching environment where students feel confident enough to speak English without the fear of making mistakes. Mistakes are important because we learn from them.

I strongly believe that we "learn by doing" so in my lessons students are encouraged to be active and there is a bigger focus on practical tasks rather than teacher focussed lectures. At first it may seem a little challenging but once my students make their first breakthrough, the sky's the limit!

I would describe my teaching style as coaching and facilitator. I try to ask the right questions and help students find the right answers with the help of demonstration and activities. Each class is different. As a teacher, I always try to clearly define the goals taking into account my students’ needs and expectations. Then, I come up with a well-organized plan considering what my students want to achieve. I know students benefit from an active learning experience and can create relevant connections between content knowledge and skills and applications in the real world. So, I carefully follow each student’s progress in order to ensure they achieve their goals successfully. My classes are designed to develop all skills (speaking, writing, reading, and listening).
